Chapter 4 - The Front End

This next chapter will deal with the first front end service that this car has had in over 20 years. Front end service is a bit of a misnomer because there's going to be a bit more then just a front end service. This will most likely take a while due to the shear amount of work and that I have to wait to build up my funds a bit first. Stay tuned.

  • Remove protective plate from under carriage

Tools/Parts Needed List

  • Spark Plugs - Need 4. Recommended types are Bosch W5D, Champion N6YC or NGK BP7ES.
  • Rotor
  • Cap
  • Spark Plug Wires - Set of 4.
  • Fuel Filter
  • Timing Belt
  • Timing Belt Tensioner
  • Alternator V Belt
  • A/C Compressor V Belt
  • Air Pump V Belt - Not sure if I need this one.
  • Oil Filter - K&N HP2005 or maybe another brand.
  • Oil Drain Plug Gasket
  • Oil - Castroil High Milage 20W50, high ZDDP?
  • Air Filter - K&N 33-2003
  • Battery - Sears DieHard, Group Size 41
  • Coolant - Use G5 (Zerex)
  • Fuel Hose
  • Vacuum Lines - Silicon
