Before I begin any actual work on the 924, I have several things to finish up in my work area. Last fall I finished building the loft and moved a lot of the extra stuff around the garage up there. I also constructed a lumber rack on the south wall to get all of my woodworking lumber out of the middle of the floor.
There is one big project that I wanted to tackle this spring but am afraid I'm going to have to put off for awhile is the replacement the garage's power feed. Right now the garage has one 15 amp circuit that powers a plug and a couple of lights. The lights give off some pretty pitiful low level light and there is only the one plug in the entire garage. I would like to add more plugs and add more lights under the loft to help illuminate that darkened area. For the time being I should be able to power a couple of florescent lights to help there and hopefully I won't have any large power requirements until I can do it. If I do get to the stage of the restoration where I'm going to need a compressor, welder, etc, then the electrical upgrade will have to become a priority.
So here are two lists of some of the preliminary tasks I want to get done before I really get into things. All these tasks can be done in any order, depending on how the weather is, etc.
Garage To Do List:
- [Done] Build workbench on east wall.
- [Done] Add shelving where ever I can to increase storage space.
After many weeks of work I finally got the garage about 95% to where I want it. The only thing really left to do is install some proper lighting so I can see what the heck I'm doing in there!
The Clean and Organized Garage.
924 To Do List:
- [Done] Clean interior & exterior of car.
- [Done] Remove battery and store for future new battery core trade in.
I got the fisrt step of actual 924 work done. It's not much but I really wanted to clean it before I stareted working on it. It was so filthy that I would get dirty just walking next to it.

Once these step are done I will begin on the first real project. I'm going to start with the fuel system. Go to the next section for information on that project.
